Our practical, self-paced learning programs are aimed at professional advisors in the financial services, legal, accounting and wealth management sectors, and cover the technical grounding, client communication tools and ethical frameworks to raise philanthropic giving with confidence, across a range of client contexts.

Essential Philanthropic Advisor

Essential Philanthropic Advisor (EPA) is a structured continuing education program for professional advisors seeking to proactively raise and lead philanthropic conversations with their clients. It is the foundational course of what will ultimately be a tiered, CPD pathway that will includes the Advanced Philanthropic Advisor (APA) and Professional Philanthropic Advisor (PPA) programs currently in development.

Pathway to grow your expertise

EPA is followed by Advanced Philanthropic Advisor (APA) to deepen your technical and strategic capability, with a focus on complex giving structures, family wealth management and high-net-worth advisory practice.  Professional Philanthropic Advisor (PPA) is the final, capstone program. We plan to launch both APA and PPA in 2027.

CPD accreditation

Essential Philanthropic Advisor has been independently accredited for 13.25 CE/CPD hours by Portfolio Construction Forum, Australia’s specialist, independent investment continuing education, accreditation and certification service. These CE/CPD hours can help meet the requirements of more than 20 governing bodies, including ASIC, APRA, Legislated (AU), FAAA, FMA and CIMA.

Advise with purpose

EPA is designed to equip you with foundation-level knowledge and skills. Covers the landscape of Australian philanthropic, from legal and tax structures to giving psychology, practical advisory skills and impact measurement
